Research became a stance.
REBEL FOR HAPPINESS was born from a simple question: How can we support people in remaining strong, active, and self-determined for as long as possible?
From this question, Dr. Wolfgang Priemer developed a unique protein technology over many years. Today, it forms the foundation of PATENT WHEY – and the core of REBEL FOR HAPPINESS.

THE BEGINNING
It did not start with a brand. But with a question.
Dr. Wolfgang Priemer has been working with proteins, amino acids, and peptides for many years.
His work focused on whether whey protein could be broken down during production to the extent that it consists primarily of small protein building blocks—while remaining a product suitable for everyday use. The goal was an easily digestible protein.
What sounds simple turned into a long development process.
This is because the more protein is hydrolyzed, the more challenging its taste, processing, and stability become. This work ultimately led to a patented enzymatic process.

THE BREAKTHROUGH
From protein to amino acids and small peptides
PATENT WHEY is based on an enzymatic hydrolysis process.
In this process, whey protein is broken down into smaller components using enzymes during production. The present analytical characterization shows typical values of:
30–35%
free amino acids
55–70%
Di- and tripeptides
Intact proteins above 50 kDa were not detected within the analytical detection limit of <0.5%. The analytical report therefore describes PATENT WHEY as functionally completely hydrolyzed.

I have never accepted that getting older must automatically mean withdrawing. To this day, exercise, sports, and a conscious diet are part of my life. My work with proteins and amino acids therefore did not stem solely from scientific curiosity. It also arose from a very personal conviction: We cannot stop the years from passing. But we can decide how we face them.
REBEL FOR HAPPINESS stands for precisely this outlook on life. Not being perfect. Not staying young forever. But staying curious, staying strong, and having big plans for a long time to come.
