Biogon GmbH

Patented amino and peptide raw materials. Made in Germany.

BIOGON GmbH is a German, research-driven company and patent holder in the field of enzymatic fermentation and hydrolysis of proteins to free amino acids and short-chain peptides .

Using a globally unique, patented process, BIOGON offers highly functional, fully fragmented protein building blocks for international B2B partners in the fields of nutrition, functional food, health and cosmetics.

The inventor and technological mind behind BIOGON is Dr. Wolfgang Priemer , whose patented technology fundamentally redefines classic protein processing.

The BIOGON technology

From protein to function

Conventional proteins require extensive digestion in the body, are often poorly tolerated, and have limited bioavailability. BIOGON has developed an industrial solution to this problem.

Through a patented, multi-stage enzymatic process using purified endo- and exopeptidases, natural protein sources are selectively broken down into:

  • free amino acids

  • Di-, tri- and oligopeptides

  • short-chain polypeptides (< 25 kDa)

The result is a fully fermented, non-bitter, highly bioavailable amino and peptide matrix containing all 20 proteinogenic amino acids .

The technology is protected by granted patents (EU, USA, Canada, New Zealand) .
